The angle of the prestressed column equals the angle of the earth's polar axis, the disc parallels the equator level. Rotating around its own axis once a day the sculpture works as a timekeeper: an in-ground stainless steel bar functions as pointer, the sand blasted inscription on the disc is the clock face.
