In 2001 Kusser Aicha Granitwerke launched an international design compe- tition, encouraging artists and architects to rethink city furnishings in conjunction with the firm’s technologies. The task was to find a consecutive series of 4 granite objects for the urban environment. The many projects submitted resulted in several product series with shared formal and thematic aspects. These are docu- mented in the brochure ”International Design Competition: Ideas in Granite for the Urban Environment“. |
